Not a lot of time before work, so a quick one:

Yesterday was Amy and my ninth anniversary, and also a regular day off for me. At least we got to spend the day together, more or less. What did we do? She did gardening and I did a partial reorganization of the garage.

Last year, we went to Florida for an extended weekend. The idea was to replace expensive gifts with priceless vacation trips together. Last year we were able to leave Jareth with my parents--not an option this year.

With money and time both in short supply, a distant trip became out of the question. On the other hand, the dealership sponsors a camping club. The boss had wanted me to join that group as the dealership representative.

Their first trip for the season is this weekend. So we'll be borrowing something used off the lot, probably an older motorhome, and we'll be camping this weekend about an hour from home.

I've backed out of the firewalk. The logistics of Amy coming with turned out too complicated. Part of the idea had been for she and I to both do it, so I'll wait until next time. It happens once or twice a year, so it's not now-or-never.

That's all the time for today...
